Look for the white building with the glass door, in front of Boardinghouse Rathsmühle.
The whole service is in English. We're a genuinely multinational congregation, and if English isn't your strongest language, let us know beforehand — we can usually arrange for someone to translate.
What a Sunday looks like
A service runs about 90 minutes, and follows the same shape each week:

Prayer — we start by praying together.

A psalm — read together.

Songs — words are on the screen; we all sing to the Lord.

Preaching — 30 to 40 minutes, working through the Bible passage by passage.

Discussion groups — this is where we're a little different from most churches. Rather than going straight home after the sermon, we break into groups to talk about what we've just heard and ask questions about it. You're welcome to join in or simply listen.

Songs — we close by singing together.

Coffee and fellowship — we stay on afterwards for coffee and conversation. You're very welcome to stay as long as you like, or to slip away quietly if that's more comfortable your first time.
Come as you are
There's no dress code — come in whatever you're comfortable in.
You don't need to bring anything, know anything, or believe anything in particular to visit. Plenty of people who join us on a Sunday are still working out what they think about Jesus, and that's genuinely fine. Nobody will single you out, put you on the spot, or ask you to stand up and introduce yourself.
Families and children
Children and families are very welcome in the service — we're glad to have them there, noise and all. If you have a baby and need a quieter space, there's a room available for families.
Getting here
By bus — the nearest stops are Laurensberg Adele-Weidtman-Straße, Laurensberg Schloss-Rahe-Straße, and Laurensberg Schlossweiherstraße, all a short walk away.
By car — there's parking at the building, and it's free.
By bike — there's space to park and lock up bikes directly in front of the church.
From RWTH campus — about 19 to 25 minutes.
From the Netherlands or Belgium — we're close to both borders, and people travel in from across the tri-border region each week.
Who you'll meet
Aachen International Church is a church plant — around 30 members, plus others who join us regularly. Students from RWTH and FH Aachen, families, working professionals, people here for a few months and people here for years, from a good number of different countries.
You won't be anonymous here, and you won't have to work hard to meet people. Someone will talk to you.
We exist to help people know Jesus, become like Jesus, and participate in his mission. If you want the fuller picture of what we believe, our About page and The Gospel lay it out plainly.
During the week
Prayer meeting — Wednesdays at 18:30. The location changes week to week, so get in touch and we'll tell you where we're meeting.
Simple German Bible Study — usually Fridays at 18:30, though not every week. A relaxed way to read the Bible in German, whatever your level.
How can I get involved or serve at Aachen International Church?
We don't think of serving as something a committed few do on everyone else's behalf. Serving one another is simply part of what it means to be the church — everyone who belongs here has something to bring.
In practice that looks like welcoming visitors, leading or playing music, running the livestream, hospitality and coffee after the service, and praying for one another. We're a church plant, so there's plenty to do and not many of us to do it. Tell us what you enjoy or what you're good at and we'll help you find a place.
If you'd like to commit to this church more formally, that's what membership is for. Is the service in English? Yes, the entire service is in English. Translation can usually be arranged if you ask beforehand.

What should I wear? Whatever you are comfortable in. There is no dress code.
Do I need to be a Christian to come? No. Visitors who are curious, unsure, or just exploring are genuinely welcome.
Can I bring my children? Yes. Children and families are welcome in the service, and there is a room available if you have a baby and need a quieter space.
Is there parking? Yes, and it is free. There is also space to lock up bikes in front of the building.
What denomination are you? We are an independent evangelical church in the Baptist tradition, planted out of International Baptist Church Cologne.
Can I come if I do not speak German? Yes! A big part of Aachen International Church is of internationals/expats. But we also have some Germans. So please feel free to come.

Are you a Bible preaching church? Yes! The word of God is central and the exposition of it is the main and central part of our service.
Can I come even I don't understand the Gospel? Absolutely! We would love to talk to you and you can find more about the gospel, in the our site in the Gospel page.
What languages are spoken at Aachen International Church? The service itself is entirely in English, from start to finish. Our congregation comes from many different countries, so over coffee afterwards you'll hear a good mix — alongside English, our members speak German, Spanish, French and Dutch. If English isn't your strongest language, let us know beforehand and we can usually arrange for someone to translate for you.
Where can I attend a church service in English in Germany? Aachen International Church holds its entire service in English, every Sunday at 14:00. We're in Aachen, in western Germany, right where the German, Dutch and Belgian borders meet — so we're within easy reach if you live in or around Aachen, Vaals, Kerkrade or Heerlen.
